Our story.
In 1998, my four-year-old son came to me with a special birthday request. He wanted a birthday cake designed as his favorite telvision character. As an amateur home baker but a determined mother, I worked for eighteen hours to make his birthday dreams come true. Despite the blood, sweat, and tears that went into that first cake, I was totally hooked on baking and designing cakes.
Since that first cake in Texas, my family and I have moved all around the world. I had the opportunity to work through a variety of kitchen challenges, including baking elaborate custom cakes in a fish grill in Hong Kong. Nothing has been able to slow down my passion for creating beautiful, delicious baked goods for others.
Now settled in Haymarket, Virginia, I look forward to serving the Northern Virginia community.

Kari is an experienced cake artist who serves as founder, owner, and cake designer of Little Flower Bakery. She has over twenty years of experience in baking. From creating bakeries in her homes around the world, to working in a retail bakery in California, Kari has the experience and knowledge to hand-craft the perfect dessert for your special day.
